Dani Bennett has been described as an artist’s artisan. Her jewellery and textile works are owned by some of Australia’s best know artists. They are valued for their individual style which is created using traditional artisan techniques. Her silver, gold and precious stone jewellery is made using artisan, casting and bench skills with which she creates one-off and limited edition designs that are as unique as the people who own them. Every piece is an individual creative expression that finds its owner. Working through exhibition ranges Dani is committed to staying in the creative space, and not in the world of homogenised production. Her textiles are personally crafted with natural fibres and are designed for the wearer or user who wants a limited edition look. The pieces are ready to wear but most definitely not off the rack. Dani is now working on her porcelain and glass ranges. Constantly pushing herself to understand new artisan techniques, she is now exploring how these beautiful and natural materials can be incorporated into her bodies of work.
